Cookie Policy
This policy explains how Galaxie Labs uses cookies and similar technologies on this website, and what we actually collect when you visit. Short version: this site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. Read on for the specifics, and see our Privacy Policy for how we handle data across our apps more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small pieces of data a website can ask your browser to store, typically used to remember who you are between page loads (for logins or shopping carts) or to track behavior across visits and sites (for advertising and analytics). "Similar technologies" covers things like local storage, tracking pixels, and device fingerprinting that can serve the same purpose without technically being a cookie.
Cookies we use
None. This website does not set any first-party or third-party cookies, and it has no login or shopping cart that would require one. We also don't use local storage or any device fingerprinting to identify or track visitors.
| Resource | Sets cookies? | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts | No | Loads the Unbounded, IBM Plex Sans, and IBM Plex Mono typefaces used across the site. |
| Vercel Web Analytics | No | Aggregate, anonymous visit counts — see below. |
Fonts
We load our typefaces from Google Fonts. Google's current font-hosting setup doesn't set cookies or use your visit to build an advertising profile — it just serves the font files needed to render the page.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to see, in aggregate, how many people visit this site and which pages they read. It's built to be cookie-free: visitors are identified by a hash generated from the request itself, not a stored identifier, and that hash is discarded after 24 hours. It doesn't collect personal information, doesn't build a profile of you, and can't be used to track you across other sites.
The data points involved are limited to things like the page viewed, referring site, coarse geolocation (country/region/city level, not precise location), device type, and browser — never your name, email, IP address, or anything else that identifies you individually.
Your controls
Because this site doesn't rely on cookies for anything, you don't need to change any settings for it to work correctly — every feature functions the same with cookies fully blocked. If you'd like to block cookies anyway as a general browsing preference, your browser's settings (usually under Privacy or Security) let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or clear existing ones. Most browsers also let you send a "Do Not Track" signal, which we respect by design rather than by request, since we don't track visitors in the first place.
Changes to this policy
If we ever add a service that sets cookies for tracking, advertising, or personalization, we'll update this page first and add the appropriate consent controls before that service starts loading — not after. We'll also update the "Last updated" date above whenever this policy changes.
